As I dive into the Maverick project, stripping it down to build it back, I am finishing up my current project. The Factory Five has been on the road since 07 and constantly refined to it's current state today. It's now ready for paint and as soon as the funds for that are saved it will be in the booth. Below are a few pictures as it sits today. It's an absolute blast to drive but for track and autocross use I just want something with a roof and a full cage (hence the Maverick).

I'm with Frank, we're moving into a new house this month so it's going to be yard and garage setup. Besides that I have a 25 model t runabout that I have a flat head V8 for, it comes up after the Maverick is done.

My other project is our one owner '79 Trans Am. It was my wife's daily driver until about 1987 when it became a "garage/cruise in queen". The body was restored about 15 years ago after all the winters in Indiana road salt. This fall we're working on the interior with the 2nd re upholster and head liner. We're trading the factory buckets for later model 6-way power seats at that time. It's equipped with the 403 Olds but will still light the tires. The real hot rod in the family will be the Maverick.

Mine is a '63 Falcon hardtop. It's about 95% restored back to original. Most of the date codes are only 15 days apart or closer and a couple dates 6 weeks before final production such as the transmission tail housing and intake to carburetor adapter.

I am restoring a 1980 pavement oval track Modified built by Troyer Engineering in Rochester, New York - this Pinto bodied car ran at the Evergreen Raceway in St Johns Pa from 1980 until 1982 earning 13 feature wins and the 81 & 82 track championship driven by Andreas, Pa's Gus Lewis - 1st photo shows Gus the day he debuted the car in April 1980 and the 2nd photo shows where I am at now - the poor Maverick sits in the other garage bay and can only watch LOL! 1531772_984970284918573_4001452357880855399_n.jpg DSCN3578.JPG

Since we're sharing pictures, here is the T. It was a hotrod at one point with a smooth firewall and a flame paint job. Should be fun to dink with and was cheap enough to use as garage art if I decide not to mess with it.

For the past year, it's been keeping my back from spasming. Ever since the Feds decided hydrocodone could no longer be dispensed because a handful of idiots abuse it, I've been miserable. Pretty much just sitting around and working on minor house projects. Haven't driven the Mav in two years, my turbo S-10 in a year, or worked on my 416" LS stroker / Jerico 4 speed Rambler...

Figured I would update this since it's been a while since I was here and also to share a picture of the completed Cobra. Took this picture in Oklahoma at a small vintage filling station. We traveled to London, Ohio this past June to participate in the London Cobra Show. The car was received very well. This was on our return to trip CA.

At heart I'm basically a Fairlane guy...

There's a front & rear suspension rebuild(have most parts), plus disc brake conversion in the Fairlane's future.. Also I have a fresh 347 & AOD that are languishing in my garage & Fairlane already has full length headers.

FIRST the Comet is going to get a low milage Sploder 5.0(Stang 5.0 drinks oil), floor shifter & probably power brakes... Possibly at that point it will be up for sale...
