I'm just trying to see what someone would be willing to pay for my 73 Maverick. I'm not putting it on the market, just curious.
Need more information about the car, its condition and what's been done to the body and drivetrain to make an educated guess.
It has a reman 302 with less that 3k on it. c4 tranny rebuilt with shift kit. highway friendly 2.79 rear end gears. duel 2-1/2 inch exhaust. Summit racing mufflers. 2 tone blue and black interior. hedman shorty headers. Jegs aluminum intake with edelbrock 650 carb. Electronic ignition. 3 core aluminum radiator. Cooper cobra radial gts and magnum 500 rims. Has a small leak in the return hoses from the power steering. I'm replacing those this week. simple and cheap. great oil pressure. Recently painted by someone that didn't care about their work.
I was curious because I watched an episode of Gas Monkey garage in the past and Richard bought one for like $3500, painted the top and sold it for $10,000. But that's TV.
If you had to sell it quickly, or had time to wait for a good buyer, that would also affect selling price. If that were mine, and I needed to sell it, I would start at 6500 and counter the first offer of 5K with 5500. Tough to say based on one pic though.
I could not say for sure, but as with all Maverick/Comet owners it is less than you think, and in my case, less than what I got in it.
yeah, gas monkey and american pickers are the reason people ask 2x what anythings worth . I hate 'reality' tv.
we need more pics pics of the interior the rest of the exterior engine bay trunk area and underneath if possible we need to know salvage title or clean title if the car has any signs of rust or being wrecked the more info the more accurate of a value you will get by going off of your single pic and description out here thats a $5000 car on the high side depending on the specs of the engine and the details throughout the car. in california cars are abundant for a reasonable price because cars dont generally rot away in this climate the maverick is JUST now getting alot of recognition here so theyre popping up more often but there arent a lot of buyers for them over the $3000 mark. in fact the higher the price the fewer the buyers for a maverick are out there so a buyer could take advantage of that. also like what was mentioned before if youre in a hurry youre going to take a beating on the price if youre not in a hurry you might get everything you asked for regardless of what the price was
