I am in the process of installing a Fitech fuel injection system on my 70 Mav and I was wondering where I should run the tank vent. I am still running a factory tank so it does not have a vent, I am going to use the one in the new in-tank pump. My question is, do I need to put some kind of filter on the vent.

    Thanks, Chuck

What year is your car? '71-'77 factory tanks have a vent...

Mine is a 70, no tank vent and no charcoal canister under the hood.

Very true, I was just going to fill him in on the hell I have had being a 70 AND a Cali car. They do reman a 70 tank now with a vent, just not for the Cali.

No mine is not a Cali car. Since I can't find a inline charcoal filter I guess I will run a line up to the front and add a charcoal canister, it appears to be the easiest and cheapest.

Thanks to all for the replays.
    Chuck
