Wheres this bracket go ?

    So 5 years after it came apart I am putting the Grabber dashboard back together. The ducts that connect from the center AC vent on the upper dash to the side vents in the lower dash have a bracket on one side. The metal bracket is about 5" long.

    Where does this mount to?

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Looks like somebody has added those brackets to an aftermarket hose. Does not look factory.

    Originally the bracket is stapled to the hose. It is located on the drivers side hose only. On the package tray there is a place for the screw on the bottom side of the AC package tray just beside the steering column.

    Brian, Thanks for the info. I can see the staples under the tape. looks like the old factory cloth/metal hose is under the tape and the duct was just re-wrapped. I will try to get back under the dash again to where it should be mounted. With the kid homeschooling and the nice weather the Maverick has been waiting. Sean

    So I pulled out the ash tray, dropped the column and removed the gauges. The hose routes behind the dash bracket and the bracket lined up with the two holes behind the gauges. So the bracket goes HERE:
