I made my own 1/25 scale Grabber hoods years ago. There are no Grabber (or any Maverick) models currently being produced.

:( that's not good news, i have found a few websites that are doing the early 70's maverick body kit but you have to modify the chassis from other mustang kits, i might end up having to do that, but from what you say it sounds like all those websites are currently outdated and maybe not in stock anymore

No one makes a Grabber maverick kit. Kieth Marks does make grabber stripe decals though for the old JoHan mav pro stock kits. Competition resins is still very much alive...(Their body is molded off the JoHan kit as is their Pro stk Comet kit) You would still need a JoHan prostock mav/comet kit for the rest of the parts to do a simple no frills build. Or you could kitbash it with a stang kit...The revell 69 mustang kit is a good donor for chassis/drivetrain parts. I may actually have a JoHan mav chassis in my parts stash...I think, But they are junk for detail, since the kit is based off the Dealer promotional mav/comet toys. The JoHan kits do come up for sale from time to time on Flea bay/ model round up and Spotlight hobbies web sites. If you find one for under a 100.00 bucks grab it! They go for upwards of a 125.00 on average. Good luck!!!

wow, thanks alot for all the good info you gave me. i was looking at competition resins more than anyone as far as finding the most parts in one place, i would still probably get a mustang for the chassis etc, but its good to know that it would work ok if i wanna pursue that path. i'm still up in the air over which color i would wanna paint it, mavericks look great in soooo many colors :O

There's is not a mass produced (available in stores) Grabber. However look up "Missing Link Resin Cast" on Facebook. They offer a 71-72 Grabber but need a donor kit for engine and drivetrain

Gonna wake this thread up from the dead. Finding a 1/25 scale Maverick kit is extremely tough and EXPENSIVE. The only kits that I know of that are even halfway attainable are the Jo-Han kit but you might as well saw your arm off and give up your first born child to be able to afford it. At $300 it's a tough hit to the wallet and even then it's a promo kit with an engine.

The AMT 1967 Mustang Fastback kit is a good donor kit for a chassis and engine as well as engine bay fenderwells. Here's that one:

You can still get the Maverick bodies cast in resin from SMH Resins.

    Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/SMH-Resins...976445?hash=item2f2f0f053d:g:eCAAAOSwj61csg3F

I've got a 1/25 scale resin Grabber hood if anybody wants one.

I'm interested in the Grabber hood for a model I'm working on. This model will be as close as I can get the car I can sit in - not on. :)

I'm building out of an AMT kit and I have a Johan kit. I have two other Maverick models that I built years ago.

Well, if you can get a hood from whoever copied mine and was selling them, more power to ya. I won't be making any more.

I can’t remember where I got mine at. I’ve had it now for around three years. Not trying to cause a rift or anything. I just happened to have one laying around that I wasn’t going to use and figured I’d help a guy in need.
