Are these seats a good candidate for refinishing?

Have you considered replacing foam cushions?

Yes, that’s the plan. I already have new covers just need to buy the foam.
And that’s my whole point, if you buy used seats, for $200, buy new covers $$, buy new foam $$. You’ll end up spending a buttload of $$$$ on your seats and you basically spent $200 on just seat frames.

Been dealing with the same thing. Got some high back seats. Had to get the frames repaired. Bought foam and then will have to get them recovered.

Hoping they fit better than the aftermarket seats I had.

Unfortunately the price you have to pay for OEM seats unless you pay up for reproduction frames.

Sorry to kick up an older thread - I've sourced Maverick bucket tracks from a '73.

Are buckets from a 1969 Mustang Coupe a bolt in on these tracks?

Basically any Ford bucket seat from 60's to the 80's will bolt to those tracks. They should work fine for you.
