Back is doing well. Broke out my buddy's Rigid 37 degree flare tool and terminated one end of my hardlines for the fuel. From these end fittings I'll be using Earl's Vapor Guard Rubber hose to run over to the in-tank fuel pump. I'll have to do another set on the other end soon.

I definitely almost forgot to slip the fittings on before the flare. Caught myself in time.

Continued work on the fuel lines. Going to have to cut down the front lines - I did too complicated of a bend and now I can't slide the collar up far enough to get the flare tool locked in. Bonus shot of the stamping on the bottom of my driver's rocker panel. For the years of daily abuse this car got, it's still pretty clean.

I've used that green tubing. It's good stuff, corrosion resistant and bends easily.

Had to cut back the lower fuel line in order to clear the factory pass-through and be able to get wrenches on the fittings.

I also cleaned up the factory tie down plates graciously left on the car by the Paragould, AR dealer in 1971.

Should be able to start mocking up the vapor guard hose soon.

Glad you are getting to it. I've never seen it up close. Are you going to bring it to Bowling Green in July?

Not sure, Earl, just depends on how the next quarter goes.

Small project this weekend - cleaning the factory tie down bolts. I soaked them in Ospho, wire wheeled, and then brushed with Ospho once more. Need to spray a little paint on the ends and I'll be done.

They look great. My tiedowwns were long gone when I got the car. Never thought about trying to find some, but it couldn't hurt. BTW, my car looks great, and it should be done by the end of next week. I'll get pictures for ya.
    Catch you later,

They are brackets at the rear of the car the factory installed to tie the cars down during transport. 20201216_044853.jpg

Ok, I thought that may have been what they were talking about. Somewhere along the way it/they have been removed from my car.

Finished cleaning up the tie down plates and bolts and re-installed. Now I can start on finishing the fuel line that runs in front of the driver's side plate. I also got a ORB low profile plug for my unused port on my FPR. I decided to try out hotrodfuelhose out of Canada, and at first glance the hose and fittings appear of good quality. I am using a 90 and 180 on the TBI in order to direct the fuel back to the driver's side tower where the FPR is.

I bought two of the Scott Drake oil pressure extension pieces that are tapped for the idiot light and an aftermarket electric or manual gauge. Both of the ones I received had some shavings inside the shaft. Pays to inspect your parts, even new ones.

I needed a win so I also got the taillights and quarter extensions off the shelf and bolted them on, just to give me a sense of accomplishment. I'll need the lights on there in order to figure out where my battery switch will end up.

Mocked up the clutch master reservoir bracket today. Had to dig my wiring harness out to ensure it would clear without issue. Mounts to the two pedal box bracket bolts about the brake master. Needs a little finishing work and isn't the most pretty - but it is functional. I'll take it.
