    Can anyone tell me what went here for and emblem?Been trying to find one for years with no luck.

    Dealer emblem. The dealer could place them anywhere they wanted. Some were decals. Some were metal emblems held on by screws.

    My 70 has no hole or anything there. Must be a dealer emblem.

    Agree with above. Find something you like and replace it - you can even get custom emblems made for a reasonable price these days.

    I have the exact same two holes in mine, has to be from a dealer emblem. Hell, could be the same dealer! Hard to imagine back then they punched holes in cars to brand them that way, and nobody thought it was a big deal.
