    wanting a new shifter, needs to mount on top of tunnel and with a cable.
    any suggestions?

    Dont know what you are looking for (stock look or ?) I am sorta partial to this shifter. I am assuming you are running a Chevy transmission but they have one for every need. And it is at youre favorite store

    I can't find one that is for a 700R4 . none I looked at were for an overdrive transmission. I'm not saying they don't make one just I didn't see one. most of the ship/pickup dates were ...May, June or July...:coco:
    and a $430 shifter with no base ...:huh:

    I just Googled 700r4 shifter , are all 700r4 overdrive trannys I see all the usual brands B&M Hurst Lokar TCI have them and saw no shipping problems with them ? I know you have checked things out so I must be missing something ?

    700r4 is an overdrive transmission.
