Hi all, I just picked up a 73 Mav to start fixing up for my wife. My previous experience is on a 91 Wrangler YJ that I fixed up so my hope is the Mav will be as fun and doable as my YJ. One thing that was a great reference on my other build was a Haynes repair manual I picked up. Did Haynes produce a hard copy or is there something similar I can reference for wiring diagrams, procedures, images? This will help me get my bearings but I'm leery of paying a website for a PDF that may be a virus or empty file. Looking forward to posting photos and videos soon once I get her up a running again!
Welcome to the forum from northeast Ohio!!! The on-line manual at the end of the following link should be of help: Repair Index (1bad6t.com) Best of luck with your project!
Welcome!! The Ford shop manuals are light years ahead of Haynes, Chilton etc. They do include other models so you will have to "wade" a bit to find specific info. Still except for occasional reference in a Motors Manual, factory are all I use.
I have some used Maverick Chilton manuals I will sell. $20 each plus postage. Email me (see below) if I can help.
Welcome. The Chilton manuals are a huge help, but I prefer the factory manuals. You do see them occasionally on eBay or dealers in automotive literature may have them. They show up at swap meets and a few do sell online. The Chiltons offered to you would be invaluable until you find a Ford manual and what Craig is offering them for is very fair. Lucky wife.
I use maverick comet forms. And youtube to fix everything. I've been using YouTube for 13 yrs to rebuild anything.
