Welcome to the forum from northeast Ohio!

Here are two links to vender websites with Maverick/Comet specific parts:

Ford Parts, Classic Car Parts, Truck Parts and Services by Auto Krafters-Mustang Auto Parts Too!

Ford Parts | Street Rod Parts | Conyers, GA (melvinsclassicfordparts.com)

    For hop-up parts:

Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 At Summit Racing

Many non specific parts can be purchased from your local parts stores. I use their websites to look up parts rather than deal with their counter personnel. Many parts are in stock; I just bring in a printed copy of the part picture and number. Buying is a lot easier that way!

Rock Auto is also a good source.

Other than obvious body & trim parts, many parts are the same between the Maverick and Comet. There are some suspension and steering parts that are the same from the Granada/Monarch. Most engine & transmission parts are the same from all Fords with the same engine size from that year and most from 1975 and 1976 are the same. If you are planning to work on the car yourself, I'd strongly advise locating a set of Ford factory shop manuals. They do come up from time to time on places like eBay. It is a 4 volume set covering all models from 1975-1976. They will be invaluable. I had acquired the full set back when I had my 1976s and kept them. Glad I did because I didn't expect to get another Maverick until I stumbled across the 1975 I have now.

Be careful buying aftermarket parts that say they fit your car and other models. I bought an aluminum radiator that stated it fit along with Mustang and a couple other models. It didn't and had to be returned. The one that I bought after and did fit was Maverick/Comet specific. Rock Auto and Auto Krafters are the best places for parts. NAPA also always seemed to be able to find much for them.

Even though your VIN indicates a 250 I-6 - many of these cars have under gone an engine transplant which was a common thing to do when an engine died and needed a rebuild. So you need to really look at the engine to make sure it is what you think it is.

You can verify which Comet/Maverick L6 engine simply:

The 200 has a 3 bolt water pump and the starter is above the oil pan.

The 250 has a 4 bolt water pump and the starter is below the engine block.

for a complete description of internal and yearly differences:

    https://fordsix.com/ams/small-six-identification.1/

The 200 and 250 were used in Falcons, Comets, Fairlanes, Mustangs, P/U's, LTD's. Granadas, Fairmonts, etc "just to name a few" so mechanical parts are still mostly available through 'box' store auto parts vendors IF you can determine what you need and don't have to depend on a counter person who usually only looks up 3 year old Kia or Hyundai parts ...

    have fun
