Hey there. Big time Ford and Mercury nut. Back in the early 90's I had a Comet with a 302, and still miss it. I am currently building a Custom 1970 Torino though. I am using 73 Comet Tail lights, and moving the gas filler tube to the tail light panel, instead of the ridiculous, impossible to fill behind the plate thing it came with. Anyway, has anyone had luck using either one of these pigtail/sockets for the stop/turn/tail light position? https://www.parts123.com/parts123/y...~S4G218NT2110870115314a~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50001018o https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproduct..._1jJAfiOsZIAyavMLr9lMYLWoGoyxReMaApDTEALw_wcB

Thanks, are you running with no backup lights? Or did you change the contact inside for a single contact? This is the current plan, with a venter gas cap.
The pic only came up briefly, and turned into a broken image. NOW it is up and and working, and see the backup lights. Thank you.
This what I used. I got off late chevy or GM truck. 2 wire replace 2 wire socket and a 3 wire replace 3. Fits nice and tight. My entrance fee to Jyard covered cost for sockets and a few extra bulbs.
Probally 95 to 2005. Don't think chvy changed much. Note the bulb style. Chubby SUV too. Pic will give u a part #
I used these sockets https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LGKE4XM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1157 bulbs
Cool thank you. Actually my old stock ones popped in for the time being, until I can order a couple of those. I just got the filler panels welded in today, and the new holes cut out. This is going to be cool.
Overlay done. The eventual black background behind the overlay will make it even nicer. Also cleaning the tail lights up.
And it is pretty much done, and looks pretty sharp to me. Thanks for the help! Much appreciated. I am off to order the sockets now.
