    did Mother in law's car today. it's 19 years old and has been parked under a big oak tree all it's life.
    I try to wash it for her about once a month, tree is now gone...:sweep:
    soft scrub and a rag...:thumbs2:

    "soft scrub and a rag..." Years ago my brother & I used Comet scouring powder on his '56 Ford. It shined it up real nice!
    It was probably enamel paint but I wouldn't recommend doing that again.

    What brand primer and paint are you using?

    I got my mustang covered in omni epoxy and 2k hibuild. I,m too still sanding.

    Installed a dash cap, something I thought I would never do, but in lieu of an available, affordable, original or repro dash pad, made the plunge. I am greatly relieved to see that my reservations using one were completely baseless as it is nearly indistinguishable from the original in fitment and appearance to the uninitiated (non Comet/Maverick owners). Thanks to Frank Cooper for confirmation of his non-use of the adhesive.

    If you ever took a dash pad off you will really appreciate the dash cap as it is a couple hours of painful work and you come out with your hands bleeding and a sore back. Dash caps are by far a better way to go
