    That’s helpful info. Do you know if they will work with the stock 14” Maverick wheels?

    Really not trying to derail your thread. The reason I suggest a front disc conversion is because by the time you buy drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, bearings, hardware kits, etc., you're not saving much money by not converting to disc...

    I agree w/ majority advocating do disk conversion seeing the need for rebuilding system. Sitting 18 years, system need rebuilding. No matter how you drive this car; disk will serve the experience better than drums.

    You all might have converted my thinking. Is the ‘74 manual disc/drum MC the one to go with for a manual disc conversion? I like the eBay setup that will let me use the stock wheels.

    I ended up going with the eBay kit and was surprisingly impressed with the fit and completeness of the kit. Now I just need my wheels back from powder coating and I can test them out.

    That's gonna be a definite improvement over the original brakes...

    It may be true that in the case of a 69, numbers matching mustang. A disc brake mod could lower the value. Mavericks, a good disc brake conversion could only increase value. By increasing it's reliability. Disc brakes are dirt simple in comparison, self adjusting, and have far fewer moving parts to fail. And the stopping difference, even manual disc is far better than drum. Its a big noticeable difference. You're going to thank yourself. They look great.
