I get nothing for an unfinished car either. from the looks it's going to be "a big wheeled motor stand".

I once years ago stuffed a 289 into a Pinto. It ran good. I drove it around town a couple of years. Even visited some car shows with it. People liked it because it was unusual.

But the rear end didn't like the V-8 power and blew. I sold it to a friend of mine cheap and he fixed it with installing a 5 lug 8" rear. He drove it around along time like that.

To my knowledge no one ever did anything to the front end. Last time I seen it, still the same 4 lug with drum brakes.

Same here, 289, toploader 4-speed and 8" rear w/3.25 gears in a Grabber blue Pinto wagon. Big snorkle hood scoop, loud side pipes, big tires in the rear. Fun car.

Speaking of loud side pipes, saw this one over the weekend. V8 with side pipes. Not often ypu see the Mustang 2's roaming the streets.

We have a couple around here, both V8's. One is a King Cobra the guy keeps in one of those inflatable plastic bubble car covers and only brings it out on nice weekends.

Just before I found my current Maverick I was talking to a guy about the purchase of this Pinto. It had a Mustang Gt drivetrain but it turned out that he was in the process of selling it to someone. The next day I found my Maverick.

Agreed but I still prefer my Maverick now.
