The bracket I'm using...although with a Pro-Stick, uses the bottom 2 holes of the governor cover, and works well. doesn't really matter where you place it...IF it works lol. And honestly...I couldn't tell you where I got the bracket. I have a bunch of them in the shop that I've acquired over the years...and picked one out that looked like it would work. I think I have a complete loop in my cable as well. I'd have to look to have a clue how it's routed.

I'm hoping to take some time this week to re-install my fresh trans...and if it dawns on me...I'll try to take a couple of pics.

B&M said with the kink and the tighter loops it may be too much friction. I am going to remove the shifted and run the cable and shifter under the car to try and get the cable completely straight and see what happens.

From what I can see the only bend I see that could be a problem is the one at the crossmember.

Mine makes a pretty good sized loop above the tranny. The problem I've had is where the cable goes through the floor. I had to cut that a bit wider so it didn't bind. :)

You have to be sure that the angle the cable connects to the shift lever (on the transmission) allows the cable to apply pressure to move to all the gears. There are at least three levers and the use different angles.

Use a cable lube tool from motorcycles and motorcycling chain lube it thickens after you inject into cable tube.
