Hello everyone, my wife and I just bought a 77 Comet, 250 6 cylinder automatic. Its a project but it runs and drives well. We are looking forward to going to the Ohio mini meet next month and cruising with some other Comets and Mavericks. I haven't seen any other Comets in our area and there are 1 or 2 Mavericks that are occasionally at shows, so it will be neat to have something that is not very common.
This is our Comet right after we picked it up. It needed a lot of cleanup and there is a lot of amateur body/paint work that needs to be corrected but its a pretty solid car.
There a guy in Cleveland that has a lot of parts and he also makes repair panels for the Maverick/Comet 3PG (Period Perfect Parts Group)
