My dad is rebuilding a 71 Maverick 260 engine. He is in Louisiana (Baton Rouge area).
Looking for recommendations on the build kit. Should we be looking to local auto part store?
Engine is already out and torn down.
    Any other suggestions or tips?

It’s a good idea to buy parts through the shop doing the machine work for you. Helps to eliminate getting the wrong stuff. On a side note, you probably have a 250c.i. Engine. A 260 wasn’t a production size for the Maverick.
    Good luck with the build!

My suggestion is to junk the 250 and build a V-8...
