Mark-VII AOD are slightly longer than Stang & T-Bird units, probably require shortening drive shaft.

Also if considering fuel inj, the orig wiring harness incorporates ABS & air bag suspension. In total, harness is about 25-30ft long.. Routing is from ABS unit down driver side fender apron, across radiator support and back up right fender apron. At that point, a portion feeds across firewall to the salt & pepper shakers(engine harness connectors).. Remainder feeds EFI computer in right footwell, on to trunk area where ABS & suspension computers are located.

No, even I'm not brave enough to tackle one of those. Luckily the Turbo Coupes have two mostly separate harnesses. I used a 5.0 Bird engine harness when I installed the MK-VII 5.0 into my Turbo Coupe.

Thanks for the info. I know of the extra wires and extra systems but not scared of a little wiring in to days age of cars. I work on them for living now for 18 years now master for 14 years now.im not saying I'm a experts by any means. Not planning on using the other systems just ran across a deal on the car I couldn't let go. Looking at pulling apart mkii this winter after I put fuel pump in it to figer out problems before i pull it apart Might I ask what turbo set up you used on your project.

I should have said ex Turbo Coupe, sold the half motor & turbo. No wait, the turbo went on another T-Coupe that had blown the turbo.

The 5.0 made power via Trick Flow - Twisted Wedge heads, cam & 8-10 other Hi-Po goodies.
