Most (if not all) of the threads on the forums here are focused on aftermarket upgrade speakers for the in dash AM radio. I'm one of those rare types who really enjoys the tone and characteristics of the OEM speaker in the dash with the AM radio. Also, I'm doing a factory restoration, and am not looking to upgrade the specs and sound of the AM radio. If this is simply not acceptable please don't pull out the flame throwers. I enjoy audiophile quality sound systems and full dynamic range as much as the next person, but in this case it isn't what I want for the Grabber.

What I've found for OEM dash speakers has been limited. One option is super expensive ($100)... and the other option is super cheap ($20)... check the link below and if anyone has used this speaker or have other references for sourcing please share! (Ford stocked the speakers up until at least the mid 1990's) but I don't believe they do anymore.

Can't speak for that one, the one I used is C7AZ-18808-C, or for a couple of bucks more you could upgrade to C7AZ-18808-D. They fit like original and have the correct connector. Why buy a 30 year old or more original? They were junk from day 1. I too hooked up the factory AM and factory speaker, but put a bluetooth amp and 6x9 under the package tray in the rear. I can hook my phone or any other bluetooth device to get FM or my playlist.

I used the -C speaker without problem in a 75 Maverick, bolted and plugged right in.
