Was at shopping centre north of Montreal and saw the Maverick truck in person for the first time! What I found interesting was that it had Michigan manufacturer plates, which was another first for me.

another thing I found strange is the off set plate mount. I found out that bumper comes with the trailer hitch package ($100) without the hitch the plate is in the middle of the bumper.
without the hitch option if you add an aftermarket hitch it will have to be mounted under the bumper.

after more looking/talking I have backed off the Maverick truck.
no build dates being sent out and some are for May of next year. those have been on order since July 2021 and are just starting to tell them when they will start building the truck...:slap:
if I order now it will be after May before they start filling the orders ahead of me.

Well now you got me curious. What was the cost of a gallon of gas or a gallon of milk, a new vehicle, a month of rent or the purchase of a new home, a semester of college, a year of health insurance back then?

My first job was at Winn Dixie which payed a whole 2.35 hourly. Later I graduated to stocker which paid 5.25 hourly. Back then although part time work was great for a high school kid. There was a taco joint across the street so much of my funds went there.
