Have a 74 maverick 2 door 250 six with air conditioning ,having an issue with venting that everything blows to floor an nothing to windshield for defrosting? Had a heater core replaced recently ? Any suggestions on how to get all venting to work .
    Thanks

The doors are actuated by vacuum. The hoses enter the firewall near the heater core. You should see a rubber plug with several lines running inside the car. They go to a distribution block on your heater control. Check for leaks.

Normally the default setting , if there is a total loss of vacuum, is to the defrost setting. Strange that you are only getting it to come out the floor vents. Having said that, I would still look at all the vacuum related items. There are several vacuum motors/switches and lots of vacuum lines under the dash.

Hopefully there isn't something wrong with the blend door in the heater box.

He mentioned had heater core replaced; whoever had box out should have inspected all that while working on the unit.

Does the car have factory AC or is it dealer added AC?

Either a vacuum line is disconnected, or your vacuum storage canister under the hood likely needs replaced...
