Bought a new 4 door car today and it has a lot of options. Really nice seats that fold back, but can't get them to fold forward. It has a rear defroster. Wonder how many came with this option?

Cool your car has a buck tag. :thumbs2:
Not a lot of these cars had one.

I've found the defogger in quite a few cars, mostly in the later years. But I have no clue on production numbers. A lot of them were installed at the dealer too.

I bought the car for parts and it has these really cool bucket seats. They lay back, which is definitely needed in my Maverick 2 door, for more room. Tons of chrome moldings stuffed on the inside. The dash pad looks like new, must have been garage kept. I'm going to see if the back seat will fit in my car.

I'm not sure but being a four door the seats may not fold forward, no reason for the to with doors behind them.

Install seats facing rearward, they'll fold forward...;)

The DSO is 13(New York), northern vehicles were more likely to have a defroster...

That makes sense on the rear defroster.

4-door rear seat is different than the 2-door rear seat.

My '73 2-door came from the Kansas City Missouri factory with the rear defogger...

The seats can be made to fold forward with some work , not the easiest task to do if you are not handy with your hands and tools. There are some write ups on how to do it in this forum

I'm still in the welding sheet metal stage, so I have time to decide on the seats. The ones that came with the car are decent, no tears or holes, just not the best looking. They are blue and have center fabric. The LDO seats are in good shape, dirty, cream colored, but I do like the folding idea. I would need to dye them, gonna keep the interior blue. The tracks and underside of the ldo's are immaculate. I'm sure I can figure out how to make them fold forward, just whether the work is worth the reward!

Pics show the 1974 as I bought it. It's ok just a little lame. Then the 4 door LDO seats I think.
