Can someone please post pictures of 72 Grabber seats? Is there a difference between grabber and standard 73 bucket seats?

LDO seats are different, but a Grabber did not have a special seat compared to a standard car with buckets.

If you navigate on the top bar to the media gallery, and hit the search media link in the top left, then put in different keywords like "buckets" - you can find a bunch of pictures too.

Here is one of mine - has regular highbacks with Mach 1 upholstery.

'71-'72 Maverick bucket seats (not LDO) are the same whether Grabber or not, and are identical to '71-'73 Mustang bucket seats. The upholstery pattern may be different, but it's the same seat...

Excuse me being a novice but what does LDO stand for?

    :agreed:

It was a package that made for some better convenience and luxury looks, which included cushier seats.

These are 1972 Maverick bucket seats. All Mavericks, including the Grabber, came with bench seats as standard equipment. Bucket seats were an option in ALL Mavericks, including the 4-door in the later model years.

My bench seat is killing my back, it’s all sagged out! I wouldn’t mind repairing it, but I wonder if I couldn’t swap to buckets and be better off. If there’s any substantial dollars spent, definitely not staying with a bench.
Is there a common swap out for buckets? I’d like to find something that’s at least roughly era appropriate looks wise?

The issue is the seat tracks, which are specific to Mavericks & Comets. If you can find some or fabricate your own, you can use a variety of bucket seats. '75-'77 models used different tracks on the passenger side due to the raised floor section for the catalytic converter...

Mine came out of a 79 pinto, just stretched some covers on. The tracks took some fabrication to make it happen...

Did you have your back seat done to? What do we use for the backs? Mustang kit as well?

I used 1970 Maverick rear seats, all vinyl comfortweave, not cloth. They match the fronts perfectly.
Note - if using 70 rear seats you need to get the correct matching side panels and use the 70 style seatbelts.
