Tamperproof torx bolts on the carbs, also considered the safety wire mentioned previously. Anything to make it difficult enough to make them second guess stealing it.

I have these, there're like having 20 locking lugs. I ordered an extra key when I ordered the lug nut set.
what I like about them there isn't an odd lug nut. a single locking lug nut on each wheel looks so tacky.
my new truck came with chrome lug nuts w/one lock on each wheel... they were one of the first things I changed.

Hey MoJo ! I installed a GM hood latch lock with a cable INSIDE the car . Can't raise the hood unless you PULL the
cable from under the dash inside . So far it's working well .

That is one I plan to do no matter what. Which vehicle did you use as a donor?

What car you put the lock on? IIRC, you sold the red comet. Care to supply a little more detail?

Put her in the garage so I can pull the engine and trans and redo them. Tore out the rear suspension to start replacing and cleaning up the rear area. Dropped the gas tank off to be cleaned and inspected. And have the heads redo and ready to go back on the engine.
    Not much really.

Dropped the engine/trans in place so I can start stringing wires. I have a universal kit so I can make it how I want it and it will work with the accessories I'm running rather than what Ford installed 50 years ago.

Working on the instrument panel, I'll post up some info as it progresses since it's not far enough along yet to decide if it will be cool or an epic failure but the post will come one way or another!

I still have the 70 Maverick that I'm in the process of building .Lotsa improvements .. Door Lights , Mustang back up lights, Sequential Tail lights , Fuel Injection , New 5 speed Tremec tranny , new clutch , Power Steering Kit , Electric Windows (window crank activated) Sentry Alarm System..( key fob activates when away from the vehicle if there is tampering with hood, trunk , or doors )Sealed Cowl and inner areas , New Paint Job , New front and rear bumpers , and some more interior stuff . I'm enjoying this 70 as much as the Comet ! I quit the Horsepower increases , just want a Nice Quiet Ride . I'll send pics of the hood latch when I can find time around here.

That's awesome. Would love more info on the security system you're using specifically. Once I get mine on the road this'll be a priority.
