Has anyone used the Scott Drake C5ZZ-5486-ADJ rear sway bar? If so, was it a reasonable installation?

Was there noticeable improvement in handling? Do you have frame connectors on the car?

    Hi Everett:
Using a rear sway bar on "stock" rear leaf springs will definitely improve the handling, less roll and keeps the back end "flat". Once you beef up the rear leaf springs (increase the spring rate) or start playing around with lowering the height, rear sway bar may not be necessary, it all depends on what you have done or will do on the car. But this all goes hand in hand with better tires, shocks, larger front sway bar.........
I did not have any frame connectors on my car at the time I had rear sway bar........take care!

Sway bar observations ... anecdotally :

.. added Addco 5/8 " rear sway bar to my '63 Falcon Wagon (with frame connectors ) that has a 3/4" front sway bar which reduced understeer significantly.

The added rear bar does seem to increase steering input reaction related to higher speeds..

    have fun

Addco makes a Maverick and Granada rear bar, what's the difference? I thought the frames were the same on the two cars.

If you do it, remember, you need to add material to the frame rail or it will more than likely rip it out. I have the Addco upgraded front and the back.

I have done a fair amount of suspension modification. Mine handles like a go-kart. Nice and flat in the corners.

    See pictures in my build.
