I was last on this forum in 2011 looking for the Maverick I had bought in California in 1981 with the license plate 1BADMAV. I never found it but always wanted another Maverick. So today after 35 years I finally bought another. It was hard to resist. It does have some mechanical issues but it does not have rust. I crawled under and over and found no sign of any rust, except surface rust in the trunk from standing water.
I will have plenty to post later and plenty of questions to ask!

Looks pretty solid! What are your plans for it?

My short term plans are to go through it mechanically and use it as a daily driver. Long term is about a 300 horsepower 302, AC (hey I’m 59) Mustang II suspension and probably bucket seats. But I want this to remain my daily driver and not be afraid to hop in it and a road trip.
