I'm in love with the Maverick! This is really one of the best Mavericks I have seen. I'd like to know how they installed the window (and windshield) like in this picture. I also like the trim around the side windows blacked out.
I totally agree and as it was explained to me it requires some metal work on the car to do it. You have to build the edge of the window opening in towards the cener of the opening to provide a place for the glass to sit like the newer cars/trucks. If you look at the glass on a new vehicle you can actually see the edge of the glass whereas older cars (ours included) have a rubber seal all aound them. I think that the glass has to be modified too. Here's a picture of the edge of the rear window on my 2016 F150 showing the edge of the glass even with the body surface. Bruce
In my point of view they prepare the windshield and rear glass metal frames and had made special customized glass and have been Install with polyurethane adhesive like the new model automóviles
@Miguel Arzola is right, that's usually how they do flush mounted glass. It requires oversize, custom glass and sometimes a new mounting flange. Sorry for linking to a page about that C brand, but this explains the process. https://www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-...unt-glass-to-create-a-modern-looking-hot-rod/ Fessler charges $1800 for the front and rear glass kit on specified vehicles. If you have a car for which no one is producing the special glass...it gets a lot more expensive.
Wow I didn’t know that was a company doing this kind of work because usually if you think something like that you will do it your self and have the glass made Easy to do thank you for that comment
