Today my Maverick started making this noise. I have driving the car for about 100 miles since I bought it last month and this is a brand new sound. I have a cheap automotive stethoscope but nothing seemed obvious. Any guesses?
    Thanks,
    Charlie

Vacuum leak. Take about a 2 foot piece of heater hose. Place one end up to your ear and move other end around engine to pinpoint the leak.

I think a vac leak would cause rough idle; video seems idle adversely affected.

Can't tell from the audio if it's a really bad vacuum leak or a metal on metal squeal. Can you narrow it down to part of the engine? High/low/front/rear?

A buddy of mine said to spray some brake cleaner around the engine, and if there is a vacuum leak, the engine's rpm should change. I did that and it almost killed the engine when I sprayed the base of the carburetor. The float was stuck open recently so I purchased a rebuild kit and should get it this week. I hope that fixes it.
