I have not posted on here to much through the years but have been someone who checks the page on a daily basis most of the time except when I am traveling for work. I have met and bought parts from quite a few of the members of this board and sold a few parts to others. I must say that I have enjoyed all that I have met. Recently I just went through a divorce where I had to fight to keep all the parts that I had accumulated through the years for my mavericks and also to keep the cars. At times I wondered if I had done the right thing, but after this weekend I am convinced that I did do the right thing. The car I have is deemed to be my sons car when he turns 16 and I have another that I am sitting on to restore for myself. I have collected most of the parts to restore both cars completely and almost for a third car. My ex wife thought that the old cars where a waste of time and money and made it virtually impossible for me to have time for me to work on them (One reason for the divorce). But this past weekend I took my nephew to my house to see the car because he has started to show interest in old cars now that he is 17 years old. He had liked the 67 fastback mustangs up till then and that is what he has wanted. I took it out for a ride in the car. Once we returned from the ride he now has stated that he wants a Maverick for himself. To see his and my sons face when we lit the back tires up and let it rip was worth every penny I have spent on these cars. So now I am looking for a 3rd car for him to restore with my assistance. I would attached a picture of the car we went out in but it indicates that it is to large to down load and I do not know how to resize it. I bought this car back in 2002 and have only but 15 miles on it till this weekend which we but 30 miles on it then. Just thought I would share the joy of having someone who liked mustangs move to the maverick corral. Thanks Allen Small

Great story, keep growing them Maverick Fans.. They are far and few between. I was totally excited when my Son fell in love with the Mavericks at the roundup this year and said that he wants one for his very first car. After Raising my Daughter (step-daughter) from age 8 and when she was about 11 or 12 years old and I offered to buy and restore a 65 or 66 Mustang convertible with A/C and the whole 9 yards and she turned it down in favor of her Mom's Toyota Tercel, crazy damn girls.... I am more than proud of that girl in many, many, ways and words can't describe how well she has done with her life....(21 years old now and is graduating college with her Bachelors degree in Hearing and speech pathology) I sure am proud now but when she told me she wanted a toyota over a Mustang (convertible at that) My heart surely sank..hahaha....Sure am glad my son has a little of my blood in him...hehehe
Great story! Take a look at the stickies in this forum on resizing pictures. http://mmb.maverick.to/forumdisplay.php?f=17
