well i went and pulled the rear end and front disc brakes off of a badly wrecked '76 2dr maverick yesterday. the car was wrecked so bad that the passenger side frame rail touched the driver side rail :16suspect it was really bad. anyways, i noticed it had sport mirrors at which i pulled off as well. this car had been painted several years ago but i noticed some paint flaking because of the wreck. what i found under the paint was unreal. this was a factory '76 Stallion yellow/black car. i couldnt believe my eyes and almost cried  it came factory 250, column shift auto, 2.79 rear and black bench interior. if it hadnt been wrecked so bad i would have bought the whole car. but i thought this was a one-in-a-million find for me. too bad i cant save it :( but at least the parts will go to good use

I wonder if anyone here is keeping up a Stallion registry???

I know that if you find a junked Comet GT or Sprint Maverick, there are folks here that want all the info from the car so they can account for it in their registrys.

Ya know,joexr793 is going to re-pop alot of the parts needed to fix that front end damage.Depending on how bent the rest of the car is,it may be worth restoring.Especially if its a Stallion.

trust me, it's too far gone. i'd absolutely love to have the car but the whole thing is twisted. not to mention it was also T-boned in the crash and pushed the dr. side rear interior panel to the middle of the back seat :D

Last time I saw a Stallion in the wreckers was almost 20 years ago, I leaned on the fender and I put my hand through it, I did get the bucket seat tracks out of it, I just pulled the seats out it was that rotten, and it was a black with silver v-8 car :(

Seriously, if Joe has his way, he will be selling complete repop bodies!

Just think, if you made a deal with the owner for the vin plate and title, one day you might have a real Stallion!

Kinda like freezing your head after death until the technology comes around to revive it! ;)

few months ago i found both an 1986 aerocoupe montet carlo and 1985 442 cutlass both od them were just wrecked to hell in the junk yard. the part that had me kinda concerned was that they were side by side and it looks like they were both involved i the same wreck. almost brought a tear to my eye
