Neat story about a guy that drove a Maverick I came across while googling. http://images.google.com/imgres?img...n&safe=off&rls=TSHA,TSHA:2005-19,TSHA:en&sa=N

I guess the thing that I wonder about is what they are going to do with the car? It would be kind of sad to pay homage to someone this revered by everyone by sending one of the most important things in his life to the crusher. I think they should restore it and raffle it off and give the money to a charity or homeless shelter or something. Who know maybe Jay Leno or someone would buy it.

It was posted in the March/April issue of Short Horns. As an interesting side note, at least to me, it says the guy graduated Oak Harbor High in the late 60's. I was living in Oak Harbor in 1966 to 1969 and attended Oak Harbor High in the 68/69 school year. I wonder if I ever passed him in the hallways.
That was an interesting story...I`ve never wanted to live in my car ,but sometimes I like to just go sit in it a while...I really can`t explain why. Maybe its because in the last 25 years of my life with all of the changes that have occured ...its the one constant that I have.
Yep! Was in the Shorthorns also. I use to see the guy quite often. I worked at Midas, in Shoreline for a few years. What a shame. I'm sure it was sent to the crusher....
Neat story. Hey Dennis, I was in the Navy from 66-70 and flew into Whidbey Island quite often. Maybe we passed each other there also.
