Well I was out there again with the car today. Before I started it up I checked the choke and it was wide open. I had no problem starting it. As always within in a minute or so it began to run rough. I noticed that I would rev it for a few seconds and it would slowly smooth out while it blew blue smoke out the back and smelled like gas. Then I would let go of the gas and it would run smooth on its own for about 30 seconds but as time passed it would run slowly get rougher and eventually want to stall. When I final shut the car down after a few minutes of this I checked the carb. No it was smoking, I could hear something boiling down in the barrel all at the same time I could hear a high pitch whisle coming from down the carb. As looked around the carb it had gas all over it. There was gas coing out from where the pin goes down from the throtle and it was dripping all over the sides of the card. So I know there as to be something wrong with the carb, but where do I start? Thanks for the help. I going to take a look at the shop manuals and see what I can find.

It is 100% stock with the single barrel 250 6cyl. The carb was rebuilt about 6 years ago and gave me no trouble until last spring after I let it sit for the winter. It was fine last summer until it got colder in the fall. I have a spare carb that a friends dad rebuilt for me in his spare time just waiting to put it on. So I guess it is time to put that one on. I just did not want to mess with what I have until it was total a loss. SO I guess it sounds to be a loss now.
