Hello all, just thought I would post my build idea....I thought long and hard about how I wanted my Comet to look, and this is what I have come up with. Cragar 313 Series Smoothies painted black with chrome dog dish covers...Comet GT hood w/Boss 429 scoop....Rear Grabber Spoiler....front chin spoiler...302 roller...5-speed...low back buckets...5-point harness...heater and radio delete...roll cage...fuel cell...Mustang II front susp. kit...rear coil-over kit...All white car with black out hood scoop, black "Mustang" rocker panel stripes, black chin&rear spoiler, and black wheels. Thoughts....?

If you have a GT hood it already has a scoop on it. Not sure if it is the samme type. Not sure a Graaber spoiler will fit on a comet. I think I'd rather have the higher backed bucket seats for a street car. Gives you more protection in case you are rear ended. :)

Sounds like an interesting build, good luck with it. A Grabber spoiler will fit a 71-73 Comet no problem.

    429 BOSS spoiler

The 429 BOSS hood scoop is just Bigger than the Comet GT hood scoop, and, of course the mounting locations. No problem putting it on the Comet hood.:)

I have a GT hood....the scoop that is on it is a smaller version of a Boss 429, right?

Sounds like an interesting project. Yes the Comet hood scoop is similar in appearance to the Boss scoop only shorter in height. Boss scoops did have a vacuum operated flapper door in them as well for that ram air effect. - Matt
