Well it's been a long time coming but we are going to start our new project car. Current plans are for it to debut at the SEMA show this fall and then hit a many shows, autocross and road race events as possible in 2012 including the Hot Rod Power Tour. I would like to thank Greg Z designs for doing and awesome job on the rendering and all the sponsors that have come on board so far.
Power will come from the new Coyote 5.0 motor found in the 2011 Mustang backed by a TKO 600 5 speed. Wilwood will provide the brakes, Bogart the wheels and Afco the shocks for a custom Schwartz chassis. This thing is going to be sick!

the plan sounds cool. I'd ditch the splitter though or use a period correct one.

Sound like a great plan... I hope to see the parts developed for the project available in the aftermarket, so the rest of us Maverickers can buy em and make our cars as cool as yourse will be.

Looks like the car Spectra built. At least it's going to have a Ford engine.

I was thinking that too. The rendering isnt any cooler than what some of the photoshops we have had done here. But the parts that are going into sound cool. How about making that splitter completely removable? If it is even going to be beneficial at the track. But for show purposes leave it off or get a fiberglass spoiler that is period correct.

We plan on fully documenting the entire build here on the forum so stay tuned. I plan on a lot of road racing and time attack events with the car so if any of you have done events like that you know that the splitter is going to be a key aerodynamic element to quick times. It's designed after a NASCAR piece however I did see the Spectre one after the fact. In the next few days we will be stripping the car and sending it for media blasting.
