Idler arm

    Hello everyone any help would be very helpful. I have a 72 maverick and the idler arm is shot! What idler arm can I get that will fit my car?

    4-6 week wait going to probably get it fast tracked and pay more cause I need the car passed inspection before6 weeks

    Wow 4-6 weeks!! Someone has to be able to get you one faster. As much as it sucks to order one from the US, with duty and all, it might be the way to go....Did you look at Rock Auto?
    Like Darrin said, I think the last one I bought was from Car Quest, they had it next day.

    Called two other auto parts stores and they said they where discontinued this one I will have in four days time for an extra 30 bucks from indaina

    Oh crap your right. It said Brantford had stock at Carquest on my computer but I called and they cant get one from Carquest depot. He has another supplier though for next day. Guess I'd better order one.

    my idlerarm bushings were shot in my '70 and i replaced them with mustang ones from NPD, I live near one of their hubs and was able to walk in and out with them in a couple of min. but you can order them. should allways be in stock

    Yep, as long as nothing else is worn you can just replace the bushing. I'm still running the original 1970 idler but I've replaced bushings twice over the years. I also have a spare that I want to convert to a roller bearing someday.

    Rock Auto sent out a clear-out email earlier this week. They had some on clearance. Shipping would probably be $25.00 for you but clearance price might make up for it. Might be worth be worth a look.
