Found a complete, original 1970 2 door Maverick with a 6cyl. almost no rust on the body (or dents for that matter), floorboards solid. It has a complete red/plaid interior, automatic with the shifter on the column.

Looks to be all there, very solid car. What would be a good price on something like this? I dont really need another maverick but if the price is right I don't think I can let this one go...

Without seeing pics I would say $500-$1500.

The guy wants 1800 for the car. Seemed reasonable considering the condition of the car, but I bought my Maverick 7 1/2 years ago so Ive been out of the market for a while.

The trunk of this car looks brand new, The mat in the trunk is even still there.

I might be able to get some pics up in the next few days.

Just based on those pics I say the car is well worth it. Don't see any rust and the condition of that seat is awesome for a 40 yr old car. Tells me the rest of the car has been taken pretty good care of.

Pour water in the cowl vents and see if it ends up in the floor. I just had it fixed......you don't want to go there!

Thanks for the comments guys. As far as I know this thing has been in a barn or something for a while. I know the guy pretty well, here in the next week or so he is going to put it on a lift and get it running. I should be able to get alot better look at it then.

That paper bag in the front seat is from where I guess the previous owner had bought a tune up kit (rotor button, points) from wal-mart for like 3.95. The receipt was dated sometime in 1990. Thought that was kinda cool...

great condition for the price in my opinion... if you wanted to get him down on the price a bit tell him you are going to have to make an engine swap to v8 and you dont know what you are going to find under that paint. i just started working on a customers Nova that looked like it was in great shape. when i started taking a sander to it i found the car was nothing but bondo and filler. it's just a gamble.
