Been a while since I posted about our project car. Well guys, it`s on the road. My advanced auto tech class did an AMAZING job on this car. Transplanted a H.O. full roller 5.0 engine, built C-4, Mustang GT seats, B&M shifter. The engine I purchased was already built, never heard it run until now. It is stout - AFR 185 heads, KB 10:1 pistons, comp cam, Edlebrock RPM Airgap manifold, Holley 670 Avenger carb, Dougs headers, etc etc. They did all the work, I just advised. Keep this in mind, we only had an hour a day to work on this and considering the holidays it was an exceptional effort. We have more to do next semester. 8 inch track lock posi, granada discs, Mustang Bullit rims. We are light on funding but hopofully it will pan out. We have a cherry 61` Falcon 4dr. to sell. Pic`s will be up soon and we`ll be putting together a utube video next semester. You So.Cal guy`s should see it at the All Ford show this year Sorry for the long read but this is a big deal for us. Next project - 1964 Galaxie 500 XL, interior was destroyed by rats but the car is solid.

    More pic`s

Here you go. 70,000 original miles. Really is a solid car. A little overkill on the hood scoop but the kids dig it - that`s what it`s all about, gotta keep our Auto program alive!

    High school build

Thanks for the compliments - wait until next semester! The All Ford Show is at Knott`s Berry Farm, usually in April. Lots and lots or Fords. Last year was the 25th anniversery and there were close to 2000 cars. This is all older stuff, I`m not sure of the cut off year but there are some really cool cars. If you`re a Ford guy it`s a must see and if you have a car to show you can go online a few months in advance and sign up.

Wow, I can't believe you guys are building a Maverick in Laguna Hills. I was there today actually! I went to San Clemente High right down the road and I used to drive a Maverick to school and it was such an oddity to everyone else. Ha ha.

If any of your students are really interested in cars, have them come to the PSCA drag race this weekend at Fontana. They can check out my Maverick. I'll be racing in Limited Street... pscaracing.com
