I know a couple of y'all on here have Mustangs; Any favorite forums out there for them? I'm tired of the one I joined. Between the know it all teenagers with daddy's car, know it all middle aged men with there first GT, and the countless 'which wax should I use' threads, It's exhausting. Looking for a place such as this. Laid back, mature, and a very good knowledge base.
When you find a mustang forum that is like this, let me know, I havnt found any boards for any of my other cars that is as nice as this one.
I like the Mustang Source, but don't frequent it too often. Hopefully, that isn't the one you are referring to. Because of the shear number of Mustang people, you are going run into an unusually high number of the folks you described wherever you go.
Give a try with my local mustang guys. www.westsidemustangs.com Definitely NOT the maverick forum, and has it's fair share of creeps, but overall, a decent site. Mostly Houston and local guys, though.
It doesn't cost a thing to log in and look around. It only takes a few minutes of snooping to help you decide if they are too immature for you, then delete the bookmark. I have tried a couple of mustang sites with help on my wife's convertible, and these guys were the only ones with any decent info without the put-downs and belittling rants.
Ive been kickin around WSM for a few minutes and it definitely has more substance than several of the boards Ive looked at. dmhines - It's a 95 with a fresh 306 build. 90% done, just needs some odds n ends.
I have used WSM for scoring engine parts for my Maverick. Rick Book used to be a prominent member there, when he was still a Mustang owner. They still toss his name around a bit. I am a member, but I don't go there much...still not nearly as informative as this site.
Have you tried mustangsandmore.com ? There's a few of us from on here there also. Good bunch of guys, lots of knowledge...
Im thinking this is a winner here. Looks similar to this place - Less traffic but more knowledge. Surprised it took this long. That's the one I joined at first. Glad you like it though
There are hundreds of mustang sites. I stay away from the national stuff unless i m trying to do research on something that isnt very common. For stang stuff I stick to my local clubs, and theres still about 4 boards to choose from. Im reallyonly active on one for friends, and the others for parts and info.
