hey im 17 in tennessee and my first car is a 74 maverick. when i first got it, it wasnt too bad. the people who had it before me painted it like the original lines of a grabber but it wasnt really correct and straght. it still looks great with the base yellow and the stripes black. i plan on keeping it running my entire life. im a senior now and im going to wyotech in philidelphia next year hopefully. if u all have any pionters for me come on with em, i coould really use it, thanks.

    Welcome! :tiphat:

I bought my Comet when I was 15, still have it! I recommend driving the car for a while before tearing into any LARGE projects. Check out the Tech Article section of the forum for ideas and improvements. Take plenty of pictures and have fun with it!

my car is almost bone stock with a straight 6 250 in it. the original base line for it was 180 hp. prolly doesnt have it now but eventually i was thinkin about putting in eithr a 302 or a 351 small block because of the tourque you get with the small block
