Looks to me like the rarity of Mavericks is catching on to the public. Even the average pencil pusher can tell you the year an model of a mustang.
But when thay see a Maverick i'm seeing a new spark of interest over the years?

ok, then we all can agree that the maverick doesn't quite qualify as a genuine muscle car, but... maybe it could qualify as a "pony car" like the camaro, which did have hi hp and big engines?

(i like the camaro very much, and i think the maverick look very much like it, maybe that's why i like the maverick that much!):thumbs2:

Just to jack the thread alittle, OK imagine if the Mav or Comet parts recieved the price tag of old mustang parts. That rare maverick underdash console would easily catch a grand, spoilers over 300, and dont forget V-8 components. I'm happy to still be able to find Mavs and Comets cheap. But as time goes on, they will continue to rise in price.

Hands down. Any schmuck can order a entire car through a magazine but going out and looking all over the country to find certain car parts takes a real car guy at heart to complete the project.

Like the guy that spent 22 years combinding parts from south america and north america top make his dream car is awesome compared to a watered down car liked the mustang who everyone and their mom had or has.

I do not like mustangs. I dont even glance at them when they drive by. Theyre like hondas. There is one on every corner.

I am a true blue ford guy but mavericks over mustangs all day everyday until the day I die.

neither are muscle cars..theyre pony cars (y)

muscle cars are midsize/intermediate cars with 350ci or larger
pony cars are small/compact cars with a v8

Mustang was the first pony car and created near hysteria when released Carrol Shelby was on board making them fast Maverick's were designed as a economy car for the masses similar to a volkswagon bug and thats all I got to say about that

I believe the Maverick's time has finally come.

Years ago I would get "you're working on a Maverick? :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:"

Now I get "Hey this guy is building a MAVERICK!!" or "How's that MAVERICK coming along?"

    Big difference :bouncy:

I dont see any coms or mavs out here, except for the guys who are on the board.

I mean Langley has little car show around the corner every friday night for a few hours and I never see any coms/mavs there. There was also a huge annual show and shine and still nothin.

Needless to say I am very proud of my purchase. Cannot wait to finish it up. Every step gets me that much closer. :thumbs2:
