A couple of game boy games. Once during an engine teardown I pulled a 13mm socket out of the oil pan. Nothing on a 302 uses a 13mm socket....

That's probably why it was there. Worthless tool can stay in the oil pan!

I found a cigarette pack with what looked like the remains of a couple of used condoms inside, a black bra, and a pair of pink satin short-shorts under the back seat.

Evidently, whatever guy or girl owned the car at one time (probably the late 70's-early 80's, judging by the pink satin hotpants) did get lucky.

...their luck may have eventually run out too,.....I also found a pacifier and a Hot Wheels

Unless they lost all their 1/2" sockets and were trying to get by with a 13mm, I know I've used one in a pinch.

I found a Copperhead Snake carcass in the trunk of the Red Comet GT when I got home from picking it up.

Other than that, it's been the usual stuff (parts, tools, etc.) on both my Comets.

The oddest thing I have found while working on the Mav was the amazing combustability of the firewall insulation while welding up some penetrations. Thought I had removed it all. I was wrong...:49: Sooo, now the car's on fire...:outtahere:Extinguisher has been moved, for some odd reason, and is no longer a readily available option ...:banghead:,:cussing: ,:slap: Throw the welding gloves back on and pull the flaming mound from 'neath the dash and, with fervent enthusiasm (read: mild panic), stomp it out...:whew:

My roomate's one, and only rule is: "Don't burn the house down while I'm gone." I make no promises and he need never know...

Rolling papers in the trunk, dude! Build sheet under the seat in the springs. A piece of a neighborhood watch street sign that had been caulked into the rusty driver's side floor pan.

My brother sold my Grabber in 1989- I was away at college and couldn't work on it- I found it in a junkyard with a tree growing out of where the 302 used to growl, back in about '07 or so- I knew it was mine by the paint and bumper stickers but when I opened the door, a pay stub from my brother's paycheck fell out. I found a huge mice condo in the cowl of my '69 1/2 and I've found a toolbox worth of tools while pulling parts at local junkyards but the paystub was the least-expected item. What were the odds- 18 years later....

When I first got my car I found an " antiques roadshow " cell phone wedged down behind the back seat! This phone was huge compared to what we have today! It made a great rifle target!!! (y)

Bale of hay, corn cobs, mice nests, snake skins, loose change, various tools, lawn mower blades, every engine part except the block, old cassette tapes, a bird skull, extension cords, 3 left of a six pack of budweiser, and 2 old 1 liter-ish sized glass coke bottles. All this crap was in various cars over the years of course.

A bird nest inside the right fender behind the head light but in front of the plastic wheel well. Not an easy place to get to.
