you shouldnt have to chuck the motor. if you pull it out you can take it to a machine shop or to somebody with a welder who can weld a nut on it. its ridiculous to consider the motor trash for just one broken bolt. you just need to take a step back and find the right help.
You got the camera too close to the subject...back off about 4 or 5 feet. Then crop the photo. I took this pic standing up while the bolt was on the ground with no zoom. FWIT my camera doesn't have a macro setting.
Put your car on a trailer and take it to a machine or welding shop. It shouldn't cost you a bunch to get that removed. Just a thought, if you have any more that may break off, you may as well find out before you take the car to get one removed!

Notice the out line of what i think is the original bolt. then notice how up the rest is. It has now become a personal thing for me, i have never let a car beat me down, and even though this is my first ford project,,,, if i cant get this b*$^h running, i will set it on fire and collect my peace of mind.
ive see people drill our broken bolts a few sizes biger than the orignal bolt then tap the hole for a bolt at least 2 sizes bigger. then they will take a grade 5 or 3 bolt and put allot of red loctite on it and screw it into the hole then cut off the rest of the bolt flush with the surface. so now you have fresh clean metal to drill and tap. you are at a point where you just need to pull the block out and take it to a machine shop. they will get it fixed and back to you for way less than another motor will cost.
