c4 oil pump seal

    Hi everyone, I need to replace my c4 oil pump seal, but i need to know the steps to replace it, and I need to know too if is very very necesary to disassemble the pump to install a new front pump seal ???

    Just remove the transmission and converter as a unit, remove the converter, and replace the seal. Be sure to lube the inside diameter of the seal and it doesn't hurt to use a bit of Loc-tite #518 on the outside diameter. Then lube the converter stub, reinstall the converter making sure that it goes all the way back in and reinstall the transmission and converter as a unit.

    Thanks my friend, can you tell me which the lube is the best to lube the seal?

    The transmission oil will desolve Vaseline petroleum jelly so it won't hurt anything after its job is done. Vaseline is good for prelube on all the internal parts.
