okay so im looking for a c4 crossmember as well, because the modded one for the aod the holes are to close, unless a straight 6, 3 on the tree cross member will work..

but my problem is.. theres the range sensor on driver side above shift linkage,, now the c4 doesnt have that option, so what do i do with the sensor? cut if off???... and can i use the kickdown linkage that was on the aod, on the c4?

i will post pictures of what i need to match up..

The AOD uses a throttle pressure rod and it is not compatible with the C4 any more than the C4 kick-down is with the AOD.
    Get the right linkage.

If you have a Lokar cable connect it to the kick-down lever on the carb and set it so at WOT the kick-down lever on the transmission is maximized or no more than .060" slop in the cable. That will be fine.
There is a different carb lever used for the AOD.

OK, you need to get a hole in the linkage that when you advance to WOT it pulls the lever as far as it can without binding the linkage.
On the carb the lever is long enough that it doesn't move until the throttle is about half open. Then it is pulled completely in the last half of the throttle opening. The cable can have slack in it at idle and up to the half throttle position as long as it completely pulls the lever at wide open throttle.
