I'm replacing a few hardware pieces on my front brakes to (hopefully) reduce some random front end noise.

When I pulled the inner driver side pad, it slipped out of my hand, hit the ground, and the little spring clip popped off. When I looked at the pad and the caliper, it appeared the clip was on the forward (top) end of the pad - as evidenced by slight wear marks on the metal pieces. However, when I looked at the passenger side of the car, the clip is on the rear (lower) end of the pad.

Logic suggests the placement of the clips is related to primary rotational direction of the rotors :hmmm: in which case both clips should be in the same position in relation to the caliper assembly. If true, that means one of my clips has been in the wrong position.

Which end of the inner pad is the little clip SUPPOSED to be on: top/forward end, or lower/rearward end???

There is only one clip per side of the car. I actually tried putting one on each end of the pad, but it wouldn't fit back is the caliper. :naughty: :p

Clips go on the bottom of the inner pads on both sides
