My second all time favorite car has always been the 1966 Fairlane.
I also have wanted to someday own a Pro-Street car...
    This will work.:bananaman

    So.
    Very.
    Jealous!
My favorite Fairlane and one of my all time favorite cars.
Definite bucket list car for me.
I'm going to need some more photos, some video and a little private time.

Nice find, Mike!!! Can't wait to follow the progress. Is it going to be a "daily driver"?

    Thanks guys.

It is a Factory "S" code GTA 390 car ...but now has a Very mild 302 in it.:rolleyes:

It will drive anywhere and was used for a daily driver by the previous owner.

For now it will get some new carpet and a few other spruce up Items.

Future plans call for possibly dropping in the 351w Hyd.roller engine I have in my garage with Aluminum heads and a "thumpin" cam.

But the car WILL remain roadworthy and daily driveable.

I was late to the all Ford show at Summit yesterday due to I was purchasing a new set of Mickey Thompsons for it from a Craigslist ad.
They are the same size as the ones in the pictures...

    33x21.5 -15 Mickey Thompson Pro`s. :thumbs2:

One of my favs also, I've been watching them on E-Bay for the past year or so, the nice ones are priced out of my range...

    Beautiful car!

    Congratulations!

I found a few old pics of my Dad's canary yellow 66 GTA a few months ago. He always told stories about drag racing that car back in the late 60's. Good times!

If you haven't found it already, the Fairlane Club of America is a great group. http://www.fairlaneclubofamerica.com

I just sold my '66 Fairlane 427w that I had for 12 years, and still have a '69 Fairlane. Wonderful club with a fantastic magazine and website.
