I've been looking for an after market fiberglass grabber hood for quite some time now and have only come across 2 on sites that won't let me buy the hoods, so I was wondering if someone would be able to point me in the direction of a good fiberglass grabber hood for relitivly cheap.
P.S.I live in Canada so something from canada would be much appreciated(y)

I just ordered one from 'showcars bodyparts unlimited' for $469. They are in Canada. I should have it by August 19th. Call the number on the website and ask for Rob. He will send pics of the hoods. I bought a fiberglass bolt on grabber hood with the scoops with the mesh in the openings.

Let us know if you actually ever receive that hood. They have a HORRIBLE reputation, and have ripped me off on the only transaction I ever made. Ended in a "no longer in stock, we don't plan on ever getting them back in stock, and we do not refund money, but you can transfer it to another purchase."

and you don't even need to finish it or paint it.

IMO most if not all fiberglass ones will have some kind of fitment issue if not fitment, a finish issue. don't be one of the people that say. "damn i should have bought it from you in the first place." if i could have just a buck for everyone whom has told me that. lol!

    Fiberglass hoods

I thought this guy was looking for a fiberglass hood ,thats what his ADD says ,Fiberglass, not carbon fiber.I think a car looks a whole lot better when its painted to match the car .Carbon fiber is to Import stuff ,Fast and the furious thing.I only responded because he said fiberglass and mine fit as good as a stock factory grabber hood would, handsdown. cheers Jimmy PS my dads a retired body man and told me that Carbon fiber hoods once there damaged are impossible to fix ,but fiberglass its a cake walk in the park to fix ,with kitty hair or Bondo.I would put my hood up against a carbon fiber hood any time any day for quality and fitment ,i wont ever bad mouth someone elses stuff like others seem to do ,just saying mines just as good and way ,way stronger ,ill have a 240 bl man stand on the cowl of my hood with not a crack or a break any time ,i would like to see that dome with a carbon fiber hood .cheers Jimmy

woh woh dude hold up here don’t get your panites in a bunch here. no where did i bash your product directly or bad mouth you in anyway. but jimmy since you are getting personal about it. i will go there as well since you moved it that direction. cuz it seems like your "bad mouthing" me directly since i am the only one making carbon fiber hoods. where as there are like 5 companies out there making fiberglass ones.

Fast and Furious eh? Guess F1 cars are too Fast and Furious too then huh? i guess the new ZR1 Corvette and the new ZL1 Camaro are also too Fast and Furious as well? i guess the cars Chip Foos and the Ring Brothers Build are too Fast and Furious? I guess top fuel cars are also too Fast and Furious because they have carbon fiber on them. I don’t think so? wow talk about stuck in an era and not willing the change.

ok so the OP said fiberglass. he also said “stock” yours is not a stock grabber hood. is it? you responding to this post is no different then i responding to this post is it NOT!?

why would you need to fix a carbon fiber hood in the first place? do you plan on crashing your car or something? and kitty hair and bondo wow that some quality fixing there!

if you wish to put your hood up against my hood i would be more then happy to ship one to the next MCG gathering and put my quality up against your fiberglass hood any day! bring it on! i am sure we can arrange to have both our hoods at the next MCCI round up or MCG gathering in 2013 and we will let people decide on the quality. I am in 100%! Bring it please ill take that challenge any day!

you say you can put a 240 lb man on top of the hood… ok big deal. have him jump on it and see what happens. how about take a hammer to it and see what happens.

oh wait let’s see what happens when i take a hammer to one of my hoods.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31TyRDMmbvg&feature=youtu.be

    exactly nothing!

totally irrelevant to you? yeah well just as much as a 240 lbs man standing on your hood.

    CHEERS!

    Two things fellas:
    1.)
    KNOCK IT OFF!
We're not going to have a battle of the hood manufacturers here tonight.

    2.)
You can each ship one to me and I will test them, reporting my results.
If you want, after the fitment, weight and ease of installation tests
I will torture test them by running them over with my pickup. At the same time. And video it. First guys hood that breaks (spoiler: they both will) buys the other guy a soda. End of bickering.
