no cooling lines

    1974 maverick coupe
    does anyone know if they ever made a maverick with a c-4 that doesnt need tranny cooling lines i just bought one and it doesnt have cooling lines

    69 1/2, 70 Maverick and 71 Grabber
    Every automatic transmission Maverick had cooler lines attached to the radiator. Who knows what someone did to it in the past 38 years though

    Only Air Cooled automatic I seen was on the early Falcon.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.

    Don't drive it without cooling lines....you will burn up the tranny.

    74 Maverick - 82 Ford Ranger,one of the first ones made!
    I see that you're in St. Paul. As cold is it is there someone may have just put a jumper line on instead of the trans cooler. That would work for very short trip use only, but I imagine it was done because of a leak and they just wanted to be able to move the car around. :)
