Its a little rough but it looks like a solid foundation to a good build. Doesn't look like much rust from what the pictures show. Dents are easy to fix. Little time, money, and love and she could look good.

No rust, doors open and close real easy, windows are smooth, all gaps are nice. Everything works. I've already put an edelbrock intake/carb and pertronix ignition. I've got spare fenders in real good shape for it as well.

looks like a real nice starter project car.
myself I wanted a maverick sine the first time I laid eyes on one back in highschool but then a lonely ol comet came around and I fell in love instantly. the raised hood and the attitude the grill has and the almost vega or corvette style tail lights oh man they got me.

but Ive been hard at it with my comet
this is what had to be done right away for me I had to have a hot rod

I would turn it into a race car. if I had another that was really clean I would built it as a NICE driver (y)

The looks don't bother me much. I'm thinking of doing some suspension on it. Something a little smoother than the kyb gassers and better quality. Maybe bilsteins or konis.

First off, DRIVE THE BALLS OFF OF IT!!! Second, spend some quality time rubbing it back into shape. Great car.

From what I see, get a left front fender and a front bumper and everything looks good again - not a bad start to a nice car (y)

I'm liking the Mexican blanket idea.

Replace the fender, throw a cheap black seat cover over the front seat. Quick repaint (In original color) Lose the hub caps, paint the rims a good semi gloss black (rattle can) Put some chrome acorn style lug nuts on it and sell it off or drive the bejeezus out of it.
